Contribute as a translator!
As of today, Lutece core and many plugins are available on shelf with English and French language resource files. We do not aim to stop there, we are actively looking for motivated people to help the platform support many other languages, which would also help for adoption beyond borders.
There are a few ways you can help suggest translations. Whether you are comfortable with editing lines of code or not, there will always be a suitable way for you to offer your translations.
I'm comfy with pull requests
This short chapter is for you, fellow coder! Simply download the code of the projects from Github, edit the i18n files and pull request your changes.
Err.. What's a line of code?
You shall not worry about those, then. There are powerful tools out there that are made for you so you can focus on what's really important : translations, not technical! Among the huge amount of free tools, we've chose to go through the Crowdin platform. Very simple of use, the interface is able to automatically retrieve the texts that can be translated, displays them one by one, and even suggests translations for you to validate, or propose a alternative, and then submit. If you're not sure, just skip them, it will be already very helpful.
You don't have to worry about anything else! The platform will send us your contributions in the correct files and we will then integrate them.
